These are the terms of service of WORLDTAFL. Short on purpose: this is a free game, not a trap. Last updated: 25 July 2026.
The deal
WORLDTAFL is free to play. By using it you accept these terms and the Skald's Oath (the privacy policy). If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
Age
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country (16 in parts of the EU), to create an account.
Fair play
- No engine assistance, bots, or automation in rated games against people.
- No win-trading, rating manipulation, or multiple accounts used to cheat the ladder.
- Player names must not impersonate others or contain abuse. WORLDTAFL may rename or remove names that break this rule, and remove accounts that cheat.
Your account
You are responsible for your own sign-in. You may erase your account and everything held with it at any hour, with ERASE MY SAGA on your profile.
The service, honestly
The game is provided as-is, free of charge, with no warranty. Great care goes into keeping the hall standing and the ratings honest, but WORLDTAFL cannot promise uninterrupted service and is not liable for losses arising from the use of a free board game. Features may change or be discontinued. Ratings, titles, and leaderboard standings have no monetary value.
Content
Game records of battles played on the public ladder may be displayed publicly (leaderboards, tournament results, shared game tales) with your player name attached.
Changes
If these terms change materially, it will be said plainly on the site. Continued play after a change means acceptance.
